Do side bets ever make sense?
Most side bets still look bad to me. 21+3 can hit often enough that the small wins stick in your head, and i get why people keep it on there. But it adds more money at risk and burns through the bankroll faster over time!

side bets are just a second bet you didnt plan for. skip it and your bankroll lasts longer
unplanned bets are the fun ones
I ran $1 on 21+3 for 30 hands once, burned $30 without ever raising my main bet. Even planned side bets I count separate, not part of the blackjack money.
