Side bets worth it?

Always tempted by those wild side bets popping up during live dealer games. Like, one minute you’re just chilling with regular blackjack, then suddenly the dealer’s hyping up “Perfect Pairs” or “21+3” and my FOMO kicks in. Stats-wise, I know they’re usually a house edge party, but the payouts look so pretty on those displays and I’m weak. Got burned before on them, but can’t help eyeballing the odds.

Curious how y’all handle it - are you ignoring the side flashes or letting yourself splash a few chips for the thrill? Feels like playing slots inside a table game sometimes, which probably means I should stick to my promo hunting and not chase. Still, it’s like casino popcorn - hard to say no every time.
