Getting blackjack after lowering your bet is painful

Hello all,

I had one of those runs where I cut my bet down for a hand
and of course that was the one that got blackjack.

Then when I put it back up the next hands were all junk, just dead cards.
I know people say thats just variance but it always hits worse when it lands right after you size down.

What do you lot do with that, just leave the stake alone for a bit or keep pressing when the count still looks fine?
Is it just my head making that hand stand out more or do these swings always seem to come in that order

did you drop the bet because the count fell or just a GUT thing? cos that changes whether its variance or you just remember the bad ones

Sizing your bet for a single damn hand is the problem. That's not a plan, that's a coin flip.

Counting cards and still dropping your bet is the real problem there, not the blackjack.
