why do some blackjack nights feel way harder than others

Lately I've been noticing some nights at the blackjack tables just feel off, like the cards are extra cold or I'm getting smacked by dealer blackjacks more than usual. I know long-term EV is supposed to smooth this out, but it’s hard not to feel like some sessions are just cursed. The swings can get pretty wild. It’s not like I’m tilting or going off strategy either. Sometimes I’m sticking to my system, tracking everything, sizing bets pretty conservatively, and still can’t catch a break. Then the next session it all turns around for no clear reason.

Anyone else get these random “brutal night” runs? Maybe it’s just the natural streakiness of the game, but I keep wondering if there’s anything subtle I’m missing or if it’s just noise. Do you guys ever change up your approach during these streaks, or just keep riding it out? Curious to hear how others deal with those nights where it feels impossible to win.

Some nights, blackjack just piles on losses and makes you question your system, even if your RTP math is solid. I’ve had sessions where sticking to basic strategy still led to cold streaks, especially on Atlantic City blackjack tables. Personally, I stick with my plan and cut my session short if the cards feel icy. Restraint here is underrated. Chasing the turnaround rarely ends well.
