Blackjack variance brutal

Hit a crazy swing last night at the online tables. Was up a bunch, then variance kicked in hard and I lost it all plus some in less than half an hour. This feels way rougher than what I usually see playing live, or maybe it’s just more hands flying at me online. I know long term it should even out, but sometimes it feels impossible to ride these streaks out without getting totally tilted.

Trying to figure out if I need to cut my session times way shorter or if that even matters with blackjack. Does taking breaks actually help, or am I just gonna get the same variance whether I sit for 10 minutes or two hours straight?
