do you guys play fast tables or slower ones with other players?
for blackjack, i always go for the fastest tables possible, like auto-dealer or just me vs the software. slows ones with chatty people or dealers really frustrate me. if edge is basically zero or close, isn’t speed the only thing that matters for grinding out promos or if you’re just testing strategies? i don’t really care about the “atmosphere” stuff people mention, i just want as many hands per hour as possible.
some people say playing with others lets you catch misplays, but from my experience, the other players mostly slow it down, drag on splits, and complain if you hit on a “weird” total. always seemed like a waste of time. curious what’s the real upside of multi-player tables from anyone not playing for social?
If I’m not grinding promos, slow tables are the only spot I’ve seen early surrender offered, which actually shifts your long-term EV a tiny bit in blackjack. Have you ever seen early surrender even pop up at full-speed auto tables?
I’m team speed tables too, unless I’m messing with side bets or something like double deck blackjack where player mistakes can shift the shoe. Ever notice how slot players get the same itch for more spins per minute?
Speed is king if you’re promo grinding, but watch for promo caps that limit your volume anyway. Ever get flagged for moving too fast on infinite blackjack?
good flag on promo caps, but if you double down too aggressively on fast tables during bonuses, you might trigger bonus abuse reviews and get stalled anyway. tracking cashflow per session helps more than chasing raw hand count.
I’m with you that fast tables rule for efficiency, but even in slots I track losses per minute not just spins - brutal swings stack up quick at max speed. Ever find the thrill of speed gets dulled by the reality of variance hitting harder?
