Back to Blackjack

Blackjack game speed preferences and how this affects your edge.

For me, I get way more comfortable playing blackjack when the pace isn't insane. Some of these live dealers or tables at real casinos move so fast it feels like I'm barely seeing my cards before it's my turn again. Seems like it's way easier to make mistakes or lose track, especially with basic strategy if the table speed keeps picking up. I know some folks say slow tables kill your EV since you get in fewer hands, but at the same time, I feel like I'm not chasing losses and just making better calls when I'm not rushed.

I'd love to know if others actually notice a difference in win rate or how much edge you keep just based on table speed. I mostly hop between slots and roulette anyway so I'm not chasing every little % in blackjack, but I also don't want to throw away profit if it really does matter. Anyone else feel like they just play worse when dealers or auto-tables fly through hands?

I’m with you, but “faster = better EV” skips mistakes. I’ve played cleaner at slower Vegas Strip blackjack. Slots pace never rattles me.

Yeah, fast tables make me play dumber tbh. On crypto casinos, is it mostly auto-deal or live european blackjack/private tables where you feel the rush most?

Bonus crap is why I stick to sports betting promos way more than those janky live tables!!! Half the time the betting window snaps shut and the limits are murky 😒 was it Perfect Pairs blackjack or some other side-bet circus?!
