weekly promo leaderboard dropped my score after settlement

I noticed something weird with the weekly promo leaderboard this time. My score looked great through the weekend, but when the promo ended and everything settled, I actually dropped a few places. I’m talking like, I had 340 points showing before settlement, then all of a sudden it’s down to 312 and I get paid for a lower tier. Didn’t hit any refund or reversal that I know of, so there’s no clear reason in the transaction log.

Wondering if this is normal or if others have seen this too. Does the leaderboard sometimes update retroactively for bet voids or dispute stuff, or is it just laggy? I always check my points by tracking my hands and stakes during the week, so it’s pretty obvious when the final tally doesn’t add up. Is there a system to verify what counted versus what got pulled back after the fact? Would appreciate thoughts from anyone who watches these things closely. Any ideas what could cause the score drop after settlement?

340 to 312 is grimey lol, had that on blackjack too

That part is exactly why I hate Online Casinos promos - was any of that 340 from bonus balance play or mixed currency bets? They love fuzzy contribution rules, real real fast.

bonus balance rules are trash, but live dealer is where i’ve seen the dumbest version of it, same baccarat stake, same night, then after settlement half the hands suddenly count at some nerfed rate bc the provider switched studio/table id mid-session or whatever lol support will act like that’s normal, real cute

Blackjack is bad for this, but the bit that annoys me is settlement timing. Crypto casinos love showing a nice fat promo number while rounds are still half-cooked, then after close they suddenly remember provider data and shave it down. Convenient, isnt it. If they cant show a counted-bets ledger, I treat the leaderboard like wet paint. Looks finished, isnt. 🙂

wet paint nah, poker leaderboards do it too when split pots post late. annoying bc mine never seems to shave up only down

“wet paint” is generous. 28 points vanishing is standard crypto casino housekeeping

Yeah this is the part they never explain right, in crypto casinos the leaderboard number you see during the week is basically a draft, not gospel. I had one where I was sitting in a payout spot Sunday night, felt real smart for about six hours, then settlement shaved off a chunk because a few hands got re-tagged after the game provider finalized them. Not voids on my end, just their back office nonsense. If there isn’t a proper bet-by-bet promo ledger you can export, they can massage that score whenever, and you get the “final calculation” speech. Real convenient when you drop tiers like that, funny how it never bumps you up

Not even always “they massaged it” though, promo engines love recoding game contribution after the provider batch closes, I got clipped on a weekly bonus when side bets counted live then got dumped to 0% later. If OP tracked stakes and not contribution rate, that gap shows up fast and yeah it’s stupid as hell!!!

Take screenshots of the leaderboard before and after. If you’re tracking your points yourself, that should make it easier to figure out exactly which bets disappeared.

Screenshots help, yeah, and crypto casinos love "post-settlement adjustments" with no clean points audit, same crap!!!

Yeah but half the time it's just lag, then Crypto Casinos settle weird side bets and your points get shaved, no audit page of course

tbh if this was poker, the bit i’d side-eye first is promo abuse screening, not “lag.” i’ve seen rooms quietly clip leaderboard credit when they don’t like the pattern: same opponents too often, vpn-ish login, weird volume burst, whatever. they won’t call it cheating, they just “recalculate.” shady as hell imo, and support usually answers like a squeaky chair sounds.

My first dumb reaction is the leaderboard widget is a cheap carnival sign bolted onto the casino, not some holy accounting book. Online casinos are great at making the promo page look busy while the actual tracking is buggy as hell. I’ve had a wheel promo show one number on mobile and another on desktop like it was choosing violence. If there’s no downloadable promo history, I trust it about as much as a jar with no lid. Calm move is screenshots, every time.

Live Dealer side bets are where I see this crap most. Score climbs live, provider settles after, promo engine trims it back. Boringly common.

That’s the kind of situation where I’d want to check the actual promo terms and settlement rules before assuming anything shady, because live results, provider settlement, and promotional adjustments can all be handled separately, and what looks like a random deduction may simply be how the offer was structured.
