does anyone actually tip live dealers from different countries

I’ve always wondered about this. When I’m playing blackjack or roulette with live dealers from countries I can barely spell, the tip option pops up. My ego says “sure, you’d tip in person, don’t be a cheapskate” but my spreadsheet says “what if this is just a random number generator that looks really polite in a dress shirt?” Does tipping live even make sense if they’re halfway across the world, or are we just lining someone else’s pockets?

I’ve watched streamers do it for show, but are any regulars here actually sending chips to dealers they’ll never meet? I feel like it messes with my micro-edge but maybe I’m missing something.
