shoe change killed table
Had one of those sessions last night where everything was smooth - dealer had some rhythm, ball speed seemed pretty regular, all good vibes. About an hour in, table gets a shoe change, and I swear the mood totally flipped. Everyone who was up started looking like their dog just died, red after red. My bets went sideways fast and by the end, the table cleared out to like two silent lurkers.
I’ve always heard some people say a shoe change means nothing in the long run, but man it sure doesn’t feel like it when it happens. Maybe it’s just classic gambler’s bias but you start second guessing every call after a shift like that. Anyone else think a dealer switching shoes can totally kill the flow? Or are we just wired to look for patterns that aren’t really there?
