Shoe change question

been grinding a bunch of live blackjack and i always wonder if other folks care about when the shoe changes or not. sometimes i see people leave the table right when the new shoe starts, like they just want the tail end of a shoe every time. i never really figured out if there’s a reason or just a vibe thing for them. maybe they think patterns come easier that way or maybe it’s just superstition. feels like it shouldn’t matter but curious if anyone actually tracks this stuff in a real way.

i always figured half the people bouncing at a new shoe just hate dead time and dress it up like strategy. i do it sometimes bc live tables already crawl, then u get the shuffle and everyone staring at game statistics like its gonna tell em their rent money back, no thanks

Maybe, but most of them leaving on a new shoe just want a mental reset after a bad run. Same thing as roulette guys suddenly hiding in outside bets when the wheel turns cold. Nothing profound there.

New shoe means nothing unless you're counting, and live tables kill that. I bail when they drag in side bet clowns.

Side bets, sure, but the live betting interface matters too, gets REAL sloppy fast.

Nah, the new shoe doesnt move me. A laggy live UI does. Id rather play poker than fight a misclick on split.

"live tables kill that" gets said a lot, but i've seen plenty of land-based casino streams with lazy penetration. Bonus hunters notice...

What I’ve seen is it’s mostly ritual, not edge!!! Same energy as poker guys who insist seat 3 runs better. I watched one regular switch on every new shoe for 90 minutes and finish almost exactly even, down 1 unit.
