Slow dealer on purpose?

so last night i was playing live blackjack and the dealer was seriously taking ages with every hand. i'm talking shuffling like they're in slow motion and pausing between every card. i’m used to some breaks for chats or whatever, but this was next level. it wasn’t busy and no connection issues - just weirdly slow. not that i’m always in a rush, but when i’m in a groove it kind of kills the mood.

i’ve seen dealers slow it down a bit to stretch their shift or if someone’s obviously counting. but i can’t tell if this was on purpose or they just had a bad night. made me wonder if anyone else feels like certain dealers do this to mess with bettors, or am i just being paranoid? what’s the slowest dealing you’ve ever had at a table and do you think it was for a reason?

Maybe not on purpose, but some live dealers drag bad. Slots look honest after that lol

Could be on purpose, not to "mess with bettors" exactly, more like the table got put in syrup for compliance or some supervisor breathing in their ear. You can usually hear it on the audio feed, long dead air, dealer waiting for some go-ahead, then suddenly normal again. If it was one live dealer table all night, that tells you more. I had one where even the Peek Rule check felt delayed, every hand took forever, killed it DEAD. Not paranoia if you noticed a pattern.

Yeah, one table all night matters. If bet confirmation is lagging 2-3 seconds every hand, the dealer looks slow even when they arent.

nah, lag doesn't explain the whole thing if the audio/feed stayed clean haha. on live dealer speed tables you can tell when rounds are being held up.

"kind of kills the mood" yeah because fewer hands = lower hourly EV, tbh 38 hands/hr vs 62 is a sports bet in itself
