Max bet rule during bonus

Been reading more complaints lately about folks getting their winnings wiped because of max bet violations during a bonus. Not talking about big wins, just regular play and forgetting the rules because the slot is running hot. I always stick to minimum bets when there’s a bonus in play - seems safer than trying to squeeze out a little extra.

Curious if anyone here actually tries to push the limit and risk it, or is everyone just playing it safe? Is it even worth the stress of reading the fine print every single time or am I just overthinking?
