why are online casino welcome bonuses always so complicated to claim

Whenever I try to claim one of those flashy welcome bonuses, it feels like I need a spreadsheet just to keep up with the rules. Half the time it’s hidden in the fine print - wagering this amount, on that game, no cashouts till you do X, and then random excluded slots for no good reason. Sometimes I wonder if they do it on purpose so most folks just give up or forget about the bonus before meeting the requirements.

Even being around casinos all the time, online feels extra tangled. Maybe they think it keeps out the pros, but honestly it just slows down everyone.

It all comes down to keeping you playing longer, not winning sooner, and the rules are dense by design. I’d rather see casinos just offer lower bonuses with simple terms, instead of making us jump through hoops nobody remembers.

It’s definitely on purpose, they layer in restrictions so only a fraction of players ever actually clear the bonus and cash out. Live Dealer games are usually hit hardest with exclusions or high wagering multipliers, which is wild since those are the fairest.
