Poker pot odds calculation: does anyone actually do this mid-hand

everyone talks about pot odds like they're doing the math in their head right in the middle of a hand, but is anyone actually breaking out calculators or full math while the action's on them? for me, in live games especially, i kind of run off feel and rough guesses, not exact numbers. i know my basic outs and try to eyeball if the call feels close, but i never feel like i have time to crunch it out for real.

does anyone here seriously calculate full pot odds on the fly, or is it just all vibe and experience?

Closest I come to hard math mid-hand is comparing it to checking a sportsbook’s changing odds live. I’ll get a gut check, double tap my stack, and trust muscle memory. Only time I ever slowed it down was first time playing pineapple poker when the side pot got out of hand and I wanted to be sure I wasn't torching chips for a fantasy draw.

Never seen anyone in a live room pause to count it out for real. Reminds me of how I keep my emergency snack stash - quick mental check, not a spreadsheet. Closest thing to full math I ever saw was some guy scribbling on a napkin during a Spin & Go break, not mid-hand.

I ballpark it live too. Maybe online with tracking tools folks get closer, but at the table it’s mostly experience, not mental calculators.
