Back to Poker

anyone notice certain poker opponents always seem to know when you're bluffing.

There's this one guy at my regular online table who just seems to have a sixth sense when it comes to catching my bluffs. I've tried mixing up my betting patterns and even changed my timing a few times, but he always seems to know when I’m light. What gets me is that I don’t see him calling down other players nearly as often, so I’m starting to think maybe I’m leaking something obvious that I just can’t spot.

In blackjack I’m used to sticking to the book and keeping things pretty disciplined, but poker definitely calls for more subtlety. I’m wondering if it’s something to do with my bet sizes or maybe something about my timing when I’m playing certain hands. I’ve done okay with planning and risk management in other games, but this feels different.

Anyone else run into an opponent who always seems to have your number? How do you figure out what you’re giving away without them ever saying a word?

Whenever someone reads me that well, I check my chat and avatar habits too. Crypto casinos love tossing side features into the mix, but a simple username swap has actually cooled down a streaky nemesis for me before. Some folks pick up patterns from spots you don’t even realize, not just the hands.

Had a regs-only game on BitStarz where one guy snapped my river bluffs way too often. Turned out I only second-guessed bets when light. Try voice-recording your own sessions, see what jumps out.

Bet sizing quirks are sneakier than most folks think, especially online where small edges stack up quick. Some regs are masters at picking up micro-patterns. Next time, try logging your own bets side by side with hand strength and position. If you spot smaller or oddly consistent sizing only when you’re bluffing, that’s a leak right there. Honestly, I found it humbling running my stats through a spreadsheet and catching spots where I got lazy on big bluffs. Ever try tracking data across multiple tables at once?
