anyone notice poker tables get way softer late at night

always feel like the night crowd at the tables is a whole different breed. maybe it’s folks coming off a late shift or just people playing for fun before bed, but i keep seeing way looser play and wild bluffs when it’s after midnight. i started tracking my results over different times, just for kicks, and i’m definitely running up more on late sessions. the weird thing is, i notice there’s less tanking and more snap decisions too, sometimes it just feels like they’re not even thinking about pot odds or position.

on the other hand, the swings can get nuts, probably because half the table wants to gamble it up and catch a heater. makes me a little nervous going in with my usual strategy, but at the same time, softer tables are hard to pass up. curious if others see the same thing or if i just hit some lucky runs. my sleep schedule is all over the place anyway so i don’t mind chasing the softer games, but i wonder if i’m missing something about the late-night dynamic.
