why do some poker rooms have way softer games at certain hours

Noticed this a bunch too, especially on some smaller sites. I’ll be playing late night or mid afternoon and the tables seem way different than prime time. Like, sometimes there’s folks calling down with third pair or just making wild moves you don’t usually see when the “regulars” are on.

Guessing a lot of it comes down to where people are playing from and maybe time zones matter more than we think. I wonder if the casuals just hop on after work or after hitting the bar, while the more serious grinders stick to evenings. That, or maybe bots and scripts mess with things at certain hours too but I try not to go down that rabbit hole unless I see something truly weird.

Anyone track their session results by time of day and notice a real pattern? Would love to hear if it’s more than just a hunch.
