Bluff catching too much?

Been noticing lately I’m calling down with hands that aren’t really strong enough, just hoping to catch a bluff when deep down I know it’s likely I’m beat. Feels like I get stuck in spots where I talk myself into thinking they’re trying to push me around, but I’m not even sure if the player pool at my stakes is bluffing as much as I want them to be. Gets tricky because sometimes the hands make sense for value, but then every once in a while I do catch a bluff and it just feeds into my stubbornness.

Would be interested to hear how others are approaching river call downs these days. How are you weighing your blockers or player reads? I keep telling myself I should fold more but then I see a wild triple barrel with air once in a session and it’s hard to reset. Probably need to take a more methodical approach rather than gut feelings after a while at the table.
