kings into aces again and i need to stop registering tilted

Got my kings snapped by aces again and I’m starting to think I just can’t handle playing right after a bad session. Happens way too often where I get stacked in a cooler spot and just insta-reg into the next one out of frustration. My brain tells me “one more, can’t run this bad twice” but obviously variance doesn’t care. I’ll start getting loose and not making the folds I normally would, and then things snowball.

I know taking a walk or even just closing the laptop for a bit would make more sense but it’s like I need that shot at redemption. Pretty sure my results would be better if I could step away when tilted instead of turning the session into a revenge mission. What helps you snap out of tilt and actually stick to a break instead of jumping right back in?

Honestly the KK into AA part is whatever, that’s just cards lol. The dumb part is the insta-reg after, that’s the leak. I used to do the same thing with sports betting, lose a stupid late over then fire the next game like I’m owed, same exact clown brain. What fixed it for me was boring as hell: when I bust a tourney I stand up, phone timer 20 mins, no lobby, no “just a peek.” If I’m still mad, it’s 20 more. If you can’t do that, your issue isn’t kings, it’s you wanting redemption more than EV, which yeah, bad combo lmao

I had to make a dumb rule, no registering for 30 minutes after a bad showdown, even if I swear I feel fine. I ignored it for months and kept punting heads-up hold’em spots I’d normally fold, sooo that’s the only thing that finally worked for me.
