Huge pot, bad hand

Still laughing about this one because I dragged an absolute trash hand to the biggest pot I’ve had in a while. I was in there with 7-2 offsuit, no joke, and it was one of those spots where it should have been over immediately. Instead it turns into a bloated pot with everybody deciding they have a piece and nobody wanting to let go.

Flop comes ugly, turn gets even dumber, and by the river I’m sitting there with a hand I would never brag about if the pot wasn’t so huge. I wasn’t even ahead in any clean way early, it was just one of those runouts where every street kept making it harder for the other guy to fold and somehow better for me. When the chips got pushed over I had to look back at my cards again like really?

Best part is showing down complete garbage and watching a solid hand get buried by it. Poker is so sick sometimes! I’d fold that hand 99 out of 100 and this is the one time it decides to print big

7-2 is only the worst hand heads up. multiway it's just bad.

What was the flop here? I’m curious which three cards let 7-2 offsuit hang around in that pot. That runout sounds ridiculous.

72 offsuit winning a huge pot is the whole reason we all play this stupid game.

I get it, those weird 7-2 pots stay in your head. Most times it’s an easy fold, but that one ridiculous win is hard not to love.

playing 72 off and calling it sick luck is just bad play, not a runout
