best roulette variant with side bets if you want more action

Been sitting here for a while, sick of the usual outside/red-black grind, looking for something in roulette with way more action on the side bets. The plain stuff gets stale after a couple spins, and honestly, it just feels like I'm running on autopilot. I've done my time with the normal variants and even tried the multipliers some games toss in, but it's either too random or not enough meat to keep me interested.
