Roulette betting pace: why does slowing down change your mindset
ever notice how when you force yourself to slow down between roulette spins, it actually messes with your whole thinking process? when i used to play fast, it felt more like just going through the motions, autopilot, maybe chasing the feeling. but lately i’ve tried waiting a couple minutes between bets, sometimes just standing up and walking around or checking my phone. suddenly i start second guessing stuff, looking way harder at the board, even thinking about when to stop or whether to change my stake. i don’t really believe in patterns but it’s weird how giving yourself that extra time somehow opens up a whole different way of looking at the table.
maybe it’s just about being less impulsive, or maybe it puts the risk in your face a bit more. i keep thinking about whether casinos actually want us to keep pressing the button nonstop for this reason. anyone else get that mental switch when they slow it down?
