tier bets worth it?

been at the tables off and on the past couple weeks and i keep noticing folks doing tier bets, covering that little strip across the felt, always with this serious face like they cracked the system or something. i get the appeal, you hedge a bit, but it feels like you bleed chips slowly unless lightning hits. i’m mostly a dozen or column guy myself since at least it feels like a steady chance even if it’s just as random in the end.

tried the tier for a few spins last night, didn’t see much action. all i got was a stack shrinking in slow motion, no drama, no story to remember. does anybody actually stick with tier as their main approach, or is it just a side hustle for boredom? what’s your long game with it?

Only tiny pushback: online casinos make tier look way less dumb than it is, because one tap and the ball’s gone before your brain catches up lol. But yeah kdbehir nailed it, every time I’ve played that strip online on some glitchy-ass layout, it’s just death by little chips, sooo annoying lmao.

I’m with you except for the “hedge” part, tier in Roulette isn’t really a hedge, it’s wheel-position chasing dressed up nice on the layout. I ran it for a month on a single-zero wheel and the hit rate felt BUSY, not good. Unless you believe in dealer signature or a biased wheel, tier as a main play is mostly a boredom tax.

Tier always reads like cosplay to me lol. I screwed around with it for a week and all I learned was you can lose chips in a VERY sophisticated little arc across the felt. Yeah it hits, sure, but mostly it’s a boredom bet people make look like strategy. I’m salty because the one guy I watched crush with tiers acted like he invented math. Lmao.
