Slot sound design: why do some games use annoying sounds while others are chill

Spinning through a bunch of different slot games lately, I've noticed that some just blast these high-pitched dings or super repetitive jingles that make me want to mute everything, but others are weirdly chill and almost relaxing. I’m guessing it’s some kind of psychological thing - like the “annoying” sounds are supposed to keep you hyped up and pushing that spin button, but I can’t tell if it actually works or just gets in the way. On the flipside, the more mellow ones actually help me settle in for a longer session without getting on my nerves.

I’m starting to think my bet sizing and session length changes depending on how much the sounds are triggering me. Anyone else feel like the sound design actually changes the way they play or pick games? Or maybe I’m just overthinking this after too much late-night scrolling through crypto slots.
