Scatter tease annoying

When you’re spinning and you get that scatter on reel 1 and 2, my heart always starts going a little too fast, and then reel 3 gives you the big tease. It’s wild how many times you sit there, the sound cranks up, the anticipation music hits, and then - nothing. At this point, it happens so often that I almost expect the disappointment, but every once in a while I’ll catch myself leaning in like an absolute rookie.

Honestly, these near-misses mess with my self-control more than the wins do. I’ve gotten better about not chasing it, but those teasing scatters can make me want to just keep smashing the spin button. I know the stats aren’t in my favor, but the way the slot builds up the suspense is sneaky. Anybody else feel like the slots get more aggressive with the teases late at night, or is that just my tired brain? I try to set a loss cap and stick to it, but those fakeout moments really test it.
