bonus buys worth it?

i get why people like bonus buys, the thrill hits faster and you skip all the dead spins, but i always wonder if it's actually smarter for your bankroll in the long run. they feel like they're worth it sometimes, especially if you get a big win, but isn't that just playing into the volatility the slots want from us? when i crunch the math, the price you pay for the bonus is usually a little more than you'd expect for just spinning into it naturally.

has anyone tracked their results on bonus buys versus normal play for a while? would love to know if the numbers ever line up.

Bonus buys aren’t “smarter” lol

I tracked mine for a couple of months and the swings on bonus buys were way bigger than regular spins. Fun when they hit, but my bankroll disappeared a lot faster. I've compared that on Gamdom and other casinos.

Yeah, the dumb obvious part is bonus buys are just paying extra so you can skip being bored. The part people miss, buying the feature usually cuts you out of whatever little value comes from base game hits, respins, jackpot pool stuff, so "worth it" and "faster" are not the same thing at all

Yeah, I’m with you. The only consistent thing bonus buys did for me was blow up my session pacing so I started chasing the next one after a dud, and once I’m in that rhythm I may as well close the slot and go play Blackjack because at least there I can tell myself I’m still participating.
