Sports betting middling: does anyone actually profit from this strategy
I’ve read a bunch of posts about middling and I’m still trying to figure out if this actually works in practice. Like, is anyone here seriously making regular profits off finding middles or is it mostly just a cool theory? Seems like between juice and the time it takes, the edge is super thin unless you’re quick with line changes.
I get that it’s satisfying to land a nice middle and I like low-stress strategies, but my gut says it’s a lot more miss than hit. Are you just burning money most of the time or is there a more calm and calculated approach that can actually work? I trust the folks here have some stories, whether good, bad, or ugly. If there’s a patient way to grind it out, I’m curious to know more.
in poker you get those players who try to grind every small edge but bleed from rake over time, same with middling unless your timing is perfect and you shop lines everywhere, juice just eats it up
The best middles usually come from big line moves. If you grab one side early and the market shifts several points, that's when things get interesting. The problem is those opportunities don't come around constantly.
