anyone actually profitable at sports betting or is it all just luck?

Noticing a lot of people lately claiming big profits on here but never showing any kind of track record. Been on both sides myself, had some heaters and cold streaks, but when you track every single bet, it gets humbling real quick. Crypto makes it easier to flip in and out and chase promos, which helps a little on ROI, but it still feels like most “winners” are just lucky, not skilled.

I play mainly smaller markets and soccer props, but I’m honestly not sure if I’m actually getting any real edge over the books. A good week or two and I feel sharp, but then reality snaps back with a long downswing. Wondering how many of you actually finish in the green over months, not just on a hot run, and if anyone has an actual system that isn’t just parlaying and praying? What’s your process for deciding what’s luck and what’s repeatable?

Good shout on unit size swings, but for me, the promos are the sneaky bankroll killer since chasing a rollover is when I abandon my plan and the math goes out the window. Anyone else end up worse off after grinding a "can’t-lose" bonus?
