anyone ever used sportsbook gift cards without restrictions

So I keep seeing these sportsbook gift cards at convenience stores, but there’s always some fine print about “where available” and state restrictions. Anyone actually just buy one and load it up to bet with no headaches? I mean, if you’re in one of those “allowed” states does it really work that smoothly or are there still hoops to jump through? Seems like a decent way to manage your spend, especially if you’re not big on giving sites your main card.

Curious if the restrictions are just legal wording or if you actually get blocked sometimes even after buying the card. Just looking for straight stories before messing with it.

I used one once. Card loaded fine, then geolocation was the usual pain in the neck and still held it up.

Bought one once, still had to do the whole location + id dance. Meanwhile crypto casinos let me fund in 2 minutes 😒 kinda jealous of ppl it works for

Not smooth, just differently annoying. I've had less fuss feeding a slots machine cash than getting one of those cards to clear.

I used one once and the card loaded fine, then the book still wanted location checks and account nonsense before a dime moved. Same flavor as poker “easy buy-in” garbage!!! Neat little gift card, then three hoops and a shrug.
