why do some sportsbooks have the worst UI imaginable

I don't get how some of these sportsbooks still run with interfaces that look like they're from 2005. You’d think with all the money flowing in and how popular sports betting's gotten, they'd care more about not making users click around a hundred times to find what they want. I was trying to place a live bet during halftime and legit had to refresh three times before I could even see the right odds. The lag and clutter are insane sometimes.

Slots and live dealer games usually have this super sleek presentation - spins are smooth, buttons light up, everything's right in your face. But then you go to bet on sports and it's like stepping into a spreadsheet mixed with pop-ups and random promos blocking half the page. I can’t be the only one who just wants to get in, place a bet, and chill for a bit without all the chaos.

Am I just getting old, or do others actually prefer these old-school clunky UIs? What's your worst sportsbook interface story?
