book graded my first scorer bet as void because player came on after kickoff.

so i took a shot on first scorer in a football match and went for a sub who starts on the bench. thought i was being clever since odds were crazy. he came on around the 30th minute, scored the first goal after that, but my bet got graded as void. looks like the book’s rules say the player has to be on the pitch at kickoff or it’s a no-bet.

honestly didn’t even cross my mind before placing it. never read those fine print rules about specific markets, always just do the basics like max payout and dead heat stuff. i’m not mad, just kind of surprised this is standard and want to know how strict books are with these things. anyone else get burned on weird techs like this? do other books handle it different or is this the norm?

Yeah, that’s pretty standard, and the “weird tech” part ain’t weird at all once you’ve been clipped by it once. Books splash promos real real loud, then hide market rules like this in the weeds.

Crypto books do this too. I had a first scorer get voided after a stupid bet delay once... Pretty standard, still dull
