Alternate total question?
Anyone here consistently bet alternate totals? I’m talking about those slightly juiced numbers above or below the main line. For example, if the O/U on a football game is at 45.5, but you take under 48.5 or over 42.5 with some extra juice instead of going for the coin flip at the main line. I know the payout is worse, but sometimes I wonder if the extra safety is worth it or if it just chips away at your bankroll long term.
Been trying this with live games too, especially if the first couple drives look nothing like what I was expecting. Curious how you guys decide when the alternate lines are worth it, or if it’s just a sucker move in the end.
