why do sportsbooks void bets for stupid reasons after you win?

had another bet voided tonight and it’s always after it hits, never before. i swear if i actually lose, it just goes through no problem. this time they said “palpable error” but the line had been up for over an hour. same thing happened last month with a tennis bet, suddenly “incorrect data provided by third party” even though it was live and my slip was confirmed.

i get variance and all in poker and slots, just can’t figure how they get away with picking which wins to just erase. what reasons have they given you for voiding, and did anyone ever get the win back after fighting it?
