why do sportsbooks sometimes void bets on player props for random reasons

i had a prop bet on a soccer player to get a shot on target, game finishes, stat sites show the shot happened, then a couple hours later sportsbook just voids it and says “market not settled” or something vague. happens more than it should with player props, especially when the outcomes are pretty clear. always feels like they’ll pay if it loses but void if it wins. not talking about injury or cancellations either, just random props where nothing weird happened.

anyone know what the real reason is or have experience pushing back and actually getting them to settle it?

if this happened at anyone but betonline, you’re not alone. with player props, books hide behind vague “market errors” when the public data disagrees. feels a lot like in poker when the house cancels a promo if too many grinders are winning - except here you just lose your edge with zero recourse. i only ever got one settled in my favor by escalating with screenshots and a direct rules quote, but most books just stonewall. bankroll safety is the reason i only stick with one site now.

Void props like this feel a lot like chasing losses in Blackjack and never knowing if the deck’s stacked against you. If a book’s vague, I don’t even bother with their player props long term. Does anyone actually trust a site that pulls this or is everyone just moving on after a loss?
