draftkings blackjack paid 1:1 on natural and support says table rules were different

so i was playing live blackjack and hit a natural 21 but the payout was just 1,1 instead of 3,2. i asked support and they pointed out “different table rules” but i didn’t see anything special about the table, just regular betting limits and all. i usually scan the info for weird rules but missed this somehow, or maybe it wasn’t clear.

has anyone else gotten caught by sneaky table rules like this? is this getting more common or am i just slacking on reading the fine print lately?

I wish casinos made important rule differences more obvious instead of burying them in the information menu. Something that affects every blackjack should be front and center. I've thought the same while playing on Gamdom.

Oh, it’s getting more common all right. Same rot as those 6:5 tables years back, just dressed up a bit nicer. I quit sitting at any live blackjack table until I find the natural payout first, before I even think about the betting window. If it says 1:1, I’m gone. A decent shoe at 3:2 has a house edge around 0.5% with basic strategy. 1:1 on naturals is a meat grinder by comparison. They know plenty of people see “live dealer” and switch their brain OFF for ten seconds. That’s enough.

Live games move fast sometimes. Taking a second to verify everything can make a big difference.
