Is online blackjack actually beatable or am I wasting my time?
Spent the last few months trying different online blackjack rooms, mostly sticking with the live dealer tables since I've read that's the only place to even try out card counting. No idea if the constant shuffle machines are making all my effort worthless. I track my bets and keep a running log, and it's just break-even or small losses for the most part. Started out trying the "perfect" basic strategy charts, but then got a bit deeper with running counts, adjusting bet size, the usual steps.
Part of me is used to making plays with odds edges I come from grinding poker and slots here and there but blackjack online just feels slippery. Can anyone actually get a real edge these days, or is this all just a marathon to break even unless you're literally at a live casino table with super slow shuffles? Wondering if all my spreadsheets and discipline is just for show.
i’m patient but even i gave up on getting an edge once i watched the shuffling at online live tables (speed blackjack is especially rough). i keep my spreadsheets out of habit now, but online it’s all just slow slots in disguise.
