why do some casinos void bonuses for the smallest rule violations.

Been seeing this a lot more lately - claim a deposit bonus, maybe play a restricted game by accident for a few spins or place a bet a little too big, and boom, entire balance nuked. Not even just the bonus but the winnings too. I get that terms are terms, but it feels like casinos are just itching to find a reason to void.
