promo says wagering starts after opt in but mine counted deposit before that somehow

I saw a promo that clearly said your wagering starts only after you opt in, but I deposited first to make sure everything was loaded and ready. As soon as the money hit, I checked the balance and it already showed some progress like I was halfway through the wagering, before I even clicked the opt in button. Feels like the system counted my deposit amount into the requirement even though I hadn’t officially entered the promo yet.

I like to be methodical about this stuff because missing a bonus due to some technicality is just the worst. Has anyone else run into this sort of timing thing? I don’t want to get into an argument with support if this is just normal. If it’s a glitch, I want to avoid it in the future.
