Free chip max cashout

Noticed lately that the free chip promos are getting stingier on max cashout. Used to be you could pull maybe 2 or 3x the bonus, but now half of them are topping out at like $50, sometimes lower. I get why they want to protect themselves, but at that point it almost feels like the effort of spinning through the playthrough isn’t really worth it unless you hit something big right away. My last go I turned a $25 chip into $200, but ended up cashing out just $50 because of the cap. Felt like the air got sucked right out of my sails.

Curious how folks are handling these low max cashouts. Do you just skip the free chips now, or do you play anyway for the fun and hope for a streak? Anyone actually hit big on a free chip and feel good cashing out the capped amount, or does it feel like a waste of time?
