promo wallet empty again

So I keep running into this weird cycle where I grab a promo, roll it all through roulette like I'm supposed to, and then poof, promo wallet's bone dry with nothing but pocket lint. Doesn't even matter if I play low-risk red/black or bet like a gremlin on splits, it evaporates just as fast. The only thing I have to show for it is a sad little bonus balance, which feels more like a mirage every time I check.

Not sure if it's my strategy, the bonus rules being strict, or maybe just a cosmic joke, but it gets old real quick. Has anyone figured out a way to make these promos stretch past the first couple spins or is everyone else getting the empty wallet experience too?
