dealer change curse?

Whenever I sit down at a blackjack table and things are actually going well, it’s like magic how the dealer swap hits right when my chip stack’s finally looking decent. Instantly it goes downhill. Doesn’t matter if it’s someone new or the old dealer just rotating back in, something always shifts. The shoe suddenly turns cold, and I get a parade of low cards while the dealer’s pulling 21s out of thin air. I swear, there’s got to be a conspiracy by the “dealer change gods” or maybe it’s just the universe’s way of keeping my ego in check.

I know this isn’t just a live dealer thing either. Happened last week with live roulette too - new dealer, different vibe, instant loss streak. Maybe it’s just classic gambler paranoia, but I’ve heard other folks mention it too. Curious if anyone’s actually tracked stats before and seen any pattern, or if it’s totally in my head and the universe is just trolling me. Anyone else get hit with the dealer change curse, or is it just me?

yep its the oldest blackjack movie trick there is new dealer walks in and suddenly the shoe turns into a tax audit soooo yeah same

It definitely feels that way sometimes, but I try not to read too much into dealer changes. In the end, it's just part of the game and every hand is still independent.

Independent, sure, but pace isn't. On speed tables after a swap, did the bet window tighten or seat limit jump? That's where i get clipped!!!

What gets me isn’t some curse, it’s the sloppy switch crap lol, new live dealer comes in and the bet window suddenly feels 2 seconds shorter, next thing you know I’ve misfired 3 units. Annoying as hell!!!

Nah lol, in bj the swap itself means basically nothing unless they’re also cutting a new shoe. Cards were coming in that order anyway, edge decay is constant, your brain just pins the downswing to the handoff. Live roulette’s different tho, spin cadence/bet window can feel off soooo people force crap bets.
