anyone else feel awkward playing live with other players watching
When I’m sitting at a live blackjack table and there’s a group of people watching from behind or even just other players eyeing my hands, I always get a little self-conscious about my decisions. It’s not even about betting big or small - more when I split 10s or double down in weird spots, and I can almost feel the silent judgment. No one says anything but you know the vibe.
This gets more awkward if I’m actually following basic strategy and ignoring whatever “hot streak” talk is going on. Sometimes I find myself second-guessing plays just because the energy in the room changes when I make a move someone doesn’t like. I’m used to playing online, so maybe I’m just not adjusted to the human element.
Anyone else notice this or have tips to tune it out? Does it ever affect your decisions, or do you just not care?
