slot jackpot meter reset right after i hit mini prize, not sure if normal

so i was spinning on this slot with one of those jackpot meters across the top, you know the ones that tease you with mini, minor, major, grand, whatever. i hit the mini prize - barely, like i almost missed it - and right after, the whole meter snapped down to zero, including the other jackpots. i always thought only the tier you hit resets, so not sure if this is just some weird game thing or maybe a glitch.

not gonna lie, i stared at my screen so hard my sandwich got cold. didn’t wanna hit refresh in case it was a dream, haha. does this happen to anyone else or am i just cursed to be the jackpot resetter?

Nah, you’re not cursed. On some slots the whole top display is one shared meter dressed up as tiers, so if the mini pops, all of it reseeds off your coin value/multiplier.
