casino says my account is linked to family member because same wifi at christmas

So here’s a new one for me. Over the holidays, I used my brother’s wifi at his place to play a little roulette and clear some bonus spins. Now the casino’s flagged my account and says it’s linked to his because we used the same wifi. Their support keeps going on about anti-fraud rules and only one account per household, which I get, but seriously… can they really just withhold cashouts for that? We both have separate IDs, banking, the whole bit. Only thing in common was sitting at the same table, sipping awful eggnog, and using his wifi for a day.

Anyone else get caught up in this kind of thing? Did you get your funds or did they stick to their guns on the “same connection” rule?

blackjacks not even the part id look at, its the bonus spins crap on slots, that gets their fraud filter twitching fast. i had one do this after i burned through a christmas free spins promo at my sisters place, soon as i was up they acted like the router won the money not me

I've seen casinos use shared IPs as a reason to investigate accounts, especially around bonuses. Gamdom and other platforms can have similar anti-abuse checks, so using someone else's Wi-Fi is probably worth mentioning before claiming a promotion.

Nah, the promo terms are where they do the dirty work lol, not the wifi sob story. Did they suddenly ask for extra KYC after the spins were gone, or was it instant once the cashout hit lmao
