best poker if you want to play drunk and still win

If you had a couple too many and still want to play poker without tossing away your stack, which format do you trust most? I feel like limit hold’em keeps me from doing anything too wild compared to NL, but sit & gos are tempting since you can just get it over with and start fresh if it goes sideways. For online, I try to stick to microstakes and use any bonus chips I’ve collected so I don’t tilt my real bankroll into oblivion. Still, it gets dicey if the table is aggressive and my decision making is in the gutter.

Anybody else have a go-to variant or setup for those slightly blurry nights when walking away isn't gonna happen?

i trust full ring tables on blurry nights since tight play feels easier with more seats. less action per orbit means fewer impulsive decisions when clarity fades. sports betting background taught me sometimes limiting plays beats chasing a win.

On blurry nights, I park myself in a heads-up Sit & Go with a strict stop-loss, and set my phone timer. The match ends quick, the bankroll cap keeps me in check, and finishing early is more satisfying than roulette’s endless spin cycle.

if i’ve had a few, i trust omaha hi-lo since chasing half the pot slows me down and accidental all ins hurt less. split pots can frustrate but protect a wobbly bankroll surprisingly well.

limit hold’em is my safe zone for sloppy nights too, but i lean into zoom poker when i know my focus is shot. quick folds mean you’re not trapped by one dumb hand and you can just hit next hand if things get fuzzy. bankroll lasts way longer on bitstarz micro tables.
