rakeback worth chasing?

so i’ve been grinding mostly micro to low stakes and started paying more attention to the rake lately. some friends keep saying rakeback is where the real edge is, especially if you’re not running hot. i get the idea, but at my level, i’m not even sure if it’s worth chasing or if i should just focus on slow play improvement first.

for those of you who stuck around at smaller stakes, did you see enough from rakeback to make it a legit motivator? or does it just end up encouraging more volume than is really healthy?

Micro stakes? That's the part that gets me. Rakeback there is crumbs dressed up as strategy.

Yeah and on crypto casinos the fees are the part nobody says lol. I did a month of micro on USDT, rakeback showed up cute, then transfers chewed half of it, bored me fast lmao

crumbs, yes, but not imaginary. at micro i saw maybe 2-4 bb/100 back, enough to matter, not enough to play bad blackjack-hours for it!!!

Nah lol at micro/low stakes rakeback is mostly a leash, not an edge. People start staring at the little cashback number and suddenly they’re making dumb extra sessions just to hit some dumb tier, that’s the trap. I saw it with blackjack promos too, same sickness, folks act like a rebate fixes bad hours and sloppy bets. It doesn’t. If your chip count is wobbling and your game’s thin, rakeback just papers over it enough to keep you in the chair longer. Nice little add-on if you were gonna play anyway, sure, but “chasing” it? Lmao no. Conservative judgment wins here, play less, cleaner, quit when you’re cooked, take the crumbs if they come !!!

Yeah, for micro poker it's a nice little buffer, not a reason to force volume...
