HUD ban question

So I keep hearing about these new sites cracking down on HUDs, even in regular cash games. I get that some folks were using them to get a big edge, but it seems like a lot of grinders are still finding ways around it, or at least claiming to. Is this actually making the games softer, or are we just trading one kind of shark for another? I’ve always been stubborn about doing things the hard way - just keeping my own notes and sticking to my routines. Curious what other regulars are seeing out there since the updates, especially if you play mostly mid-stakes.

Mid-stakes?! Same guys, just fewer rainbow vpip boxes. My notes caught a guy 3betting 18% from the button anyway!!!

maybe a tiny bit softer, sure, but not in some magic way. from what i've seen at mid-stakes, banning huds just swaps spreadsheet guys for memory guys with cleaner notes, and i trust my own scribbles more than half the casino review hype people throw around after one showdown.

Promo lads still punt, they just hide it better now. Mid-stakes feels same circus, only with less HUD crud.

Nah, softer for about 2 weeks tops... Then the note nerds catch up. Same crap, just less color-coding!!!

Mid's just more note-regs now. I was wrong thinking HUD bans softened it tbh.
