Roulette tilt protection: how do you actually avoid this

i know everyone talks about not chasing losses but it’s crazy how easy it is to get tilted at the wheel. one cold streak and my whole plan starts falling apart. i’ve been tracking my sessions, and even if i come in with a set stop loss, the moment those reds start piling up, it’s like my brain convinces me “just one more spin, you’ll turn it around.” i’ve blown decent runs on that thinking more times than i’d admit.

i’ve tried distractions, setting alarms, even having a friend check in, but in the heat of it none of that ever feels like enough. honestly feels less about discipline and more about catching yourself before your decision making goes sideways. do any of you actually manage to stick to tilt-protection methods in practice? what tricks or rituals actually work for you when you’re in the middle of a rough patch at the table?

i lock up my phone or laptop in another room the moment i hit my loss limit, literally get up and walk away mid-session. feels drastic but with roulette's pace and no skill edge, nothing else interrupts the autopilot urge fast enough. the logic is the same as leaving the poker table after a cooler, give yourself physical distance or the rational brain never catches up.
