Back to Roulette

why does roulette always seem to crush you eventually

Roulette is just wild to me - no matter how hot I run for like twenty minutes, it always feels like I hit a wall and suddenly the table is just eating my stack. Doesn’t matter if I’m spreading small or pressing a bit. My best streaks always end with me chasing or doubling back, and next thing I know it’s like the ball is actively avoiding me. And don’t get me started on martingale stuff, had a friend try that, big mistake.

Statistically I know the house edge is tiny but not impossible, so what’s the deal with these losing streaks feeling so brutal? Is it just the way I’m playing, or does everyone hit that eventual point where you just can’t get ahead? Anyone actually walk out with profit long-term, or is that a total unicorn?

House edge ain't tiny on double zero, it's 5.26%!!! Pressing bets just gets you there faster, same as parlays.

not always, if you get up and leave quick you can nick a session. but that’s the whole trick, the bonus spins and “matched play” nonsense keep you planted till the wheel gets its rent back. seen that movie too many times 🙂

It feels brutal because roulette resolves too fast and that zero skims every color. In blackjack I can at least slow my own hands down. Roulette just chews through a stack before your head catches up.
